Latz Piller Trenner is an expanding internationally operating tax consulting firm for medium-sized enterprises based in Düsseldorf.

We advise enterprises of all legal forms as well as individuals in national and international tax and economy matters. Six partners and a team of approximately 20 highly qualified employees solve complex issues by applying a multidisciplinary consultancy approach. This guarantees a maximum degree of quality and personal advice.

International network of experts

Latz Piller Trenner works on the basis of an interdisciplinary cooperation with lawyers, management consultants and insurance specialists. We control and coordinate all aspects of the consulting services. Within the scope of international mandates we closely cooperate with selected international partner firms to facilitate business contacts.

Uwe Piller founded the tax consulting firm in 1988 in Düsseldorf. „From the beginning I considered myself as partner of entrepreneurs and wanted to enhance the traditional tax consulting approach.“ Consulting is being extended to business and corporate law aspects when choosing the legal form of a company.

This holistic approach is applied when the auditing firm in the legal form of a partnership was foundet in 1995. In 1999 this firm was transformed into Piller ConsulTeam GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.

Helmut Latz and Torsten Trenner are also guided by the basic idea, to serve clients individually and intensively. In 1999 Latz & Trenner GmbH was founded out of the division for medium sized companies of an international consulting firm. The consulting firm in Düsseldorf has been developed from then on.

They focused on the construction industry and medium-sized companies and made a name for themselves in the field of international tax law. They establish contacts to Poland and establish the German-Polish legal relations for German building contractors. From the year 2000 on they continuously develop their work relations to East Europe and also to the West and South of Europe.

On January 1st, 2013 they founded the firm of tax consultants and auditors Latz • Piller • Trenner & Partner, Steuerberater | Wirtschaftsprüfer. The new consultancy firm offers a broad range of skills and qualifications to be able to serve national and international clients even more comprehensively. They cover all important aspects from tax consulting and auditing, business consulting to trust business.

On January 1st, 2022 the partnership company was transformed into a limited liability company according to German law (GmbH). At the same time the employees Katarzyna Schwing and Bastian Schwing as well as Mr. Werner Thomas, who worked as a freelance consultant, became partner and managing directors of the limited liability company.
